General Noticeboard

The Handicap League Final was played on Thursday 14th September at Grimsby Golf Club between Cleethorpes Golf Club and Burghley Park Golf Club.  After all the matches were completed the teams were all square and the first pairing headed off to the first tee for a sudden death play off.  All the supporters followed the group and in a thrilling match that went to the 5th extra hole, Cleethorpes sunk the winning putt and retained the trophy.     All the matches were taken to the 18th hole and some great golf was witnessed with all matches played to the highest standard and in great spirit and sportsmanship.

Thanks go to both teams for putting on a tremendous final, Grimsby Golf Club for hosting the event and the supporters for staying on long into the evening.

Greetham Valley, representing Lincolnshire, in the Women’s Champion Club at St Ives(Hunts) Golf Club.

After day 1, they are T4 on +8. 
The team is Liz, Ellie and Izzy Haughton.

The Representative's Meeting will be held on Monday 4th September at 10.30 a.m. in the Conference Centre at Woodhall Spa.

Club Representatives are invited along with Club Captains and Vice Captains, an agenda will be sent out to all Representatives shortly.

Tea/coffee will be available from 10.00 a.m.

Please let Kathryn Johnson (Secretary) know the numbers that will be attending if possible, this will assist with room layout and refreshments.

The Home Internationals were played at Lindrick Golf Club. Ellise Rymer (Lincoln) played 4 matches and was undefeated winning 3 and halving the fourth. Congratulations to the boys and girls on retaining the trophy.

The team Captain was India Clyburn.

It is with sadness that the LWGA have learned of the death of Anne Thompson, a member from Sleaford Golf Club,   who was a past Captain of the LWGA from 1978/1979 and Honorary Member 

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 12th July at St. Botolph's Church, Quarrington at 11.00 a.m.

The LWGA sends its sincerest condolences to Anne's family and friends.
