After an impressive 10 years in office, Pat Jones, has announced that she is retiring from her position as Junior Organiser.  On behalf of the LWGA and all the juniors past and present and their parents, we thank Pat for her invaluable contribution to the Junior Section.  She has generously given her time to support the juniors and has also represented the LWGA at meetings and served on committees such as the Golf Partnership, the Golf Development Group and liaison with the LUGC, coaching professions and England Golf.

With her enthusiasm and commitment to support junior golf she will be missed, however, she assures us that she will continue to help and support the Junior Section and the new Junior Organiser in any way she can.

We wish her a long and deserved retirement and hope that she will keep in touch with us all.

We are delighted to announce that Cindy Ireland and Colin Trestrail have won the Central England Mixed Foursomes Event held at Woodhall Spa on 4th October 2020.

The Midland Vets Team Championship was held at Thorpeness Golf Club in Suffolk on October 5th - 7th.

Sophie Beardsall won the Angela Duck Trophy for the best 36 Hole Individual Gross.

Ruth Robertson was runner up in the best 36 Hole Individual Net and Sophie Beardsall was 3rd.

Lincs 2nd Team finished 4th Net - Ruth Robertson, Birdie Dawson, Ann Lyon and Judith Gorman

Lincs 1st Team finished 4th Gross - Sophie Beardsall, Jayne Crooks, Cindy Ireland and Lynda Ramscar

In order to comply with Government regulations, and guidance on large gatherings, the LWGA will not be holding an AGM.  The scheduled AGM on 2nd November at Woodhall Spa is therefore cancelled.

Instead, at the end of October 2020, Club Secretaries and Delegates will receive:

• Minutes of the AGM 2019
• Annual Reports from the Treasurer, Secretary, Competition Secretary, Captan and Vice Captain, Junior Organiser, Midland North Representative, Handicap Advisor/Liaison Officer, Scratch Score Assessor and League Secretary.
• A form requesting confirmation of receipt, approval and adoption of all reports on behalf of your Club

We hope the majority of questions you might have wished to raise at this year's AGM will be covered in the Officer's Reports, but any other matters you wish to bring to our attention may be either attached to your confirmation of receipt or sent separately by email to secretary@lwga.com
