The two day Spring meeting for handicaps 21 - 36 took place on 29th and 30th May 2019 at Waltham Windmill Golf Club.  Two lovely days on a great course.

The first day was an individual stableford for the Gwen Bamber Trophy.   This was won with 35 points by Jo Herring of Kenwick Park. Runner up was Mabel Blackburn also of Kenwick Park with 33 points,  Sue Hall of Belton Park was third (32 points B9:19) and Bridget Hardaway of Kenwick Park was fourth (32 points B9:17).

A team competition for the Dorothy Marshall Shield ran alongside the individual event.  This was the best 3 stableford points out of a team of 4.  The shield was won by one of the Kenwick teams.  An excellent team selection from the 11 Kenwick players attending put all the individual prize winners in the same team along with Rose Stevenson, who herself, wasn't far behind the individual prize winning scores.

On day two we played a betterball stableford for the Mary Mundy Salver.  This was won by Patsy Clark and Jean Sizer of Kenwick Park with 42 points, followed by Patsy Davies and Jacqui Boswell of Elsham with 40 points and Carol James and Ranka Cartledge from Kenwick Park with 37 points.

Entries are rising this year for all the County events but we would like to see more players joining in.  These County competitions are for everyone not just the elite golfers.  There are some divisional competitions like this one which are solely for 21 - 36 handicaps and others for up to 20 handicap but please have a look at the entry forms on the website and I look forward to welcoming you at some of the other events throughout the year.
