Laceby Manor played host to this year's competition with over 100 ladies from all over the County taking part. It was a hugely successful day, despite having to cope with torrential rain, thunder, lightning and hailstones. As a result the competition was reduced to 15 holes. The overall winner of the Silver Salver was Gaynor Daykin (Belton Woods), the Silver division winner was Trish Hull (Normanby Hall) and the Bronze division was won by Carol Lake (Laceby Manor). Pam Shepherd (Louth) was the over 70's winner and 6 ladies competed in the over 80's section with Olive Brenchley (Blankney) taking the prize.
The team event was closely fought with the eventual winners of the Past Captains' Shield Trish Hull, Lucy Hull, Jill Ridley and Christine Martin (Normanby Hall) beating the team from Laceby Manor - Josie Hallam, Sandie Braithwaite, Sandra Silvester and Lynn Waddingham - by one point.
Next year's competition, again at Laceby Manor, is on Thursday 26th July.
