Delamere Forest September 16 - 20th
Good Luck to Birdie and the team representing Lincolnshire: Sophie, Helen, Lucy, India, Billie - Jo, Tilly, Ellise and Meg.
See you there supporting the team.
Last year Gloucestershire claimed the title for a second time in three years with a team comprising Rachael Archibald, Jess Brown, Grace Connelly, Charley Hiatt, Ebonie Lewis, Caley McGinty, Claudia Ovens, Sam Round, Alex Saunders and Ffion Tynan and Brown, Connelly, Lewis, Ovens, Round, Saunders and Tynan all return this year. They are joined by Megan Bartlett, Issy Hopkins and Bethan Popel.
They will begin their defence with an opening fixture against Norfolk while Lincolnshire play Surrey and Buckinghamshire face Yorkshire. Yorkshire are the most successful team in this year’s competition having claimed the title 13 times most recently in 2017 at Felixstowe Ferry. Surrey have lifted the trophy nine times and Lincolnshire once. Both Norfolk and Buckinghamshire are seeking their maiden victory.
Each of the teams in the England Women’s County Finals came through a qualifying competition in one of England Golf’s six women’s regions: East, Midlands North, Midlands South, North, South and South West.
Three matches take place on each of the five days of the competition with the teams playing three foursomes in the morning and six singles in the afternoon. Each county can enter a team of up to 12 players. Any six of those competitors can play in the foursomes and singles.

PING Women’s Fourball Plate Final 2019
Congratulations to Jacqui Barson and Julie Beanland, of Belton Park Golf Club, who have won the PING Women’s Fourball Betterball Plate Final 2019.
After an amazing day of Golf in Gainsborough, the duo won by 2 points with an overall score of 44, scoring 25 points on the front 9 and 19 points on the back 9.
Jacqui and Julie only met in January 2019 but play together regularly, they’ve become good friends and now are beginning to win competitions together.
After a great front 9, the team were able to relax and enjoy the rest of the round, and, playing against another friendly pair, there was a nice pace of play and the duo we’re able to sail through the back 9 to secure an impressive victory.
“We’re completely astounded and overjoyed,” said Jacqui Barson, “It’s unbelievable… we’re still shaking – it’s just surreal.”
