Congratulations to Alison Johns who has been appointed as Vice Captain of the Midlands PGA, the first woman to hold the position.

Brief history of Alison’s career:
As an amateur, Alison achieved a handicap of +2 and represented England at both Girls and Ladies level and Great Britain.
Lincolnshire County Champion 1987 & 1989, Midland Girls Champion 1987 & 1989 and England Girls U18 Champion 1987.
Turned Professional in 1991 and played on the Ladies European Tour for 4 years.
Undertook PGA training with Tim Hutton at Sudbrook Moor GC.
Currently working at Woodhall Spa, National Golf Centre as a teaching professional, a position held for 11 years.
Has also worked as teaching professional at Boston & Boston West and club professional at Sutton Bridge.
First Lady Professional to be appointed Lincs PGA Captain.
World Transplant Games - current golf champion. The games are held every two years and has been selected for the team in 2019 at Close House GC, Newcastle in August.
Ten years ago received the gift of life after having a lifesaving liver transplant after an unknown virus attacked her liver.
