2nd Team v Nottinghamshire

A great day out for the second team against Notts at Elsham. The course was in great condition, with green fairways (yep, really!), and smooth greens. The Notts Ladies left as fans of Elsham for sure.
The team got off to a much better start with a win and two halves in the foursomes.

Izzy Haughton and Jade Baker fought back to win the last two holes for their half and had a fabulous birdie on 18. Liz Haughton and Bethany Gough grabbed a half as well. Eden Inglis and Yasmin Bass got off to a hot start over the first couple of holes and kept the pressure on with a solid 4 and 3 win.

In the afternoon, Izzy won her 3rd singles match in a row on the 17th, then Eden lost narrowly to a very talented Notts junior. Jade Baker, In her first ever county match followed up her half in the morning with a win on 17 for a brilliant start to her county career. Meanwhile Bethany was playing some sublime golf winning 6&5 to secure the match for Lincolnshire.
Yasmin was battling away with her match going to the 18th, both teams were watching as she holed a 35 footer for a birdie to secure the win. Liz took her opponent to 17, but just came up short vs a quality player.
Every single member of the team played their part in the win, and Notts were great opponents and we look forward to our last match at Retford  next week.
